Flying for the Pinks

I am new to the area and just took up fly fishing last year. I am by far not experienced yet. I have a steelhead set up on a Gloomis Stream Dance 8wt. (maybe 9 can't remember) and the exact set up for trout but on a 6wt. Which one of these rods would be better for the pinks. Can anyone give me some advice on patterns as well? I have the versi tip set for my steelhead rig so I figured that might be better so I can change out the tip. I do however have two spools one with sinking one floating line for the trout set up. Thanks for the help guys, this sight is great and has tought me a ton on fishing your waters out here.

You should be fine with the 6wt for Pinks. As for specific patterns, anything pink should do.

Not to stray you away from this site, but a site dedicated to flyfishing the PNW is www.washingtonflyfishing.com
