Eight Mile and Boulder Creek..Winthrop area

Wondering if anyone has fly fished for the Brookies in either Eight Mile or Boulder Creek, just north of Winthrop? I plan on spending a couple days over there in Sept. and thought the Brookies might provide a good refresher for my wife who hasn't flipped a fly in awhile. Any tips appreciated!
