WHITEFISH FROM THE YAKIMA

Gordy and I did some Whitefish fishing in the Yakima Canyon caught some fish had some fun.

holy whitefish thats a lot. King killer got one at the skookumchuck on sunday

we were able to get several limits before the weather warmed up. The canyon had bigger fish that took longer to to catch while the Selah area had smaller fish but more of them. Most were caught with Gordy tied flies 4ft under a bobber. caught some bottom drifting.

there was no differents in the taste just a little different bone pattern, lets just say Gordy didn't complain when some may have some how got mix'd in with the whitefish! ;.} sucker is very good smoked. I'll have to target them this spring and throw some pictures up of the process.

The dip looks good! I thought you shouldn't eat suckers because of health concerns, i could be confusing it with the pikeminnow though.

cool thanks yeah I have got them on small red corkies before but only a couple, normally they are snagged though. C n R all the way haha.
