Two pole permits on WA rivers

Post by NWFishinguy » Thu Feb 25, 2016 11:21 pm

I saw a post recently, for the Snake River, where an angler said that he used two poles while fishing the Snake. I didn't think that was correct so after re-reading the regs, I called WDFW to get the word. The nice lady there confirmed that we can not use two poles while fishing on the Snake.
Is there any River in WA that allows two poles per angler to be used? Just curious here.
Not talking reservoirs like FDR here, that is clearly stated in the regs.

A couple of years ago we could on the Cowlitz below the Toledo Bridge. But it doesn't look like you can now.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

There are a bunch of rivers you can fish 2 rods. Here is a link to the regs. (they are high lighted in yellow with dates and boundries)

Columbia river during summer and fall. Yakima will change to two for salmon sometimes.
