Skykomish River - Reiter closed to hatchery steelhead retention?

Post by fritzcove » Fri Oct 23, 2020 10:39 pm

Doing some planning ahead for winter steelhead on the Skykomish and have heard plenty of people say it's worth braving the crowds at Reiter Ponds. Looking at the regs it looks like the section of the river that is the hatchery is on is closed to steelhead retention am I interpreting that correctly?

It does not say closed, so that (99% sure) means you refer to the statewide rules which are 2 hatchery steelhead, unless otherwise noted. Another instance of WDFW being as clear as mud!
