thanks! this is good info. fish can be picky bitters for alot of reasons, and i'm sure we've all been out there and ended up throwing the whole box at them trying to hook up. i've never tried rolling PB into a 'worm' shape tho. new ammo for the arsenal

. i'm all for changing it up when 'my usual' isn't producing. after all, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and getting the same (negative) results. for years, i've used a power egg (or even two with the bigger fish), one covering the knot and eye above the hook and/or at the top of the shank, with a worm or some PB beneath. sometimes even PB egg>worm> PB on the tip. a marshmellow and worm or PB just might be the ticket sometimes. i'll even try threading a worm and have it covering a bit of the line as well as part of the shank, leaving some dangling, then tipping it with PB. i often travel long distances to go fishing, so if it's an option, and artificials aren't doing the trick, i'll switch th bait in a minute. it always feels better coming home with something in the box.
thanks for the tread. there's lots of threads about guys talking favorite lures, but not many about the different uses of bait...
