Trolling still good!

Post by GeryG » Sun Nov 30, 2008 7:19 pm

Went trolling for 2 hours today. 9 fish 12-15"
Action slowed down a little from my previous post, but still good.
You gotta love these warming trends this weekend and 2 weekends ago.
I'm a weekend fisher, and 2 good weekend trips in November, makes me very happy.:cyclopsan
I put my boat away for the year, might try shore fishing once more this year.
This trout forum doesnt get much writting on it any more.

GeryG,

You'll probably get more feedback posting your fishing reports in the reports section. The forums generally are for discussing techniques, asking questions, providing lake info, etc. As for the fewer number of posts under the trout forum this time of year, with there being so much to do for the holidays and the days being so short, for some fishing may be taking a back seat until Spring. There are many die-hards out there who will be keeping the faith, many of which will be targeting Steelhead so keep an eye out for them. As for me, I'll still be hitting up the lakes and rivers when I can and also fishing for winter blackmouth while soaking the crab pots. See you out there!

I am always happy to hear that someone has done well fishing. But honestly, I'm happier to hear the helpful details about the trip.

Where
When
Tackle Used
Technique
Water Temp

I have to echo what others have said. I'm happy that you found some great trout fishing here in late November, but where is the report?
Techniques?
Pictures?
Lures?

As I've been reminded on several occasions, "The forum section is designated for discussion and the Reports section is where the reports should go."
On the other hand..... Let's discuss the location, technique and lures. boats warmed up and ready to go...... =p~

Sorry for my confusion. In this forum post dated 11-30-08 you indicated that you, “went trolling for two hours today” and said you caught 9 fish 12 to 15 inches which is great. Curious to learn more, I looked at all “recent reports” in the fishing report section dated from 11-09-08 to today 12-08-08 and I was unable to locate any reports written by you.

In your forum post on 11-16-08 “Trout fishing awesome” you indicated you caught 20 fish, half of them carryovers which is also great. A few members including myself asked what lake you fished, you replied Blackmans. No other info! The last report for Blackmans was dated 09-26-08 by Trimcat. That is why I asked for additional info.

Again sorry for the confusion.
