Hot weather trout fishing.

Post by sanfrandan » Thu Jul 12, 2007 9:53 am

Can anyone suggest a set up for fishing a deep 30-50 ft. spring fed mountain lake when the weather is about 100 degrees outside? I'll have access to a row boat. I'm going to a place like that this weekend and I am taking wife and kids. Would sure like them to be able to catch a few. I was at lake about a month ago and did well with just power bait plain worms and even a little silver spinner about 1-2 before sunset. Hope this helps.

Fish On !!!!!!

during the day fish deep pretty much on the bottom i use a short leader of about 1 foot on hot sunny days. when it gets to the evening go ahead and start trolling those wedding rings. mallow and a worm.
