Nope...I'm trying but its still to cold. I submit reports on Tapps a lot. They all end with 0 for muskies but the smallies are moving into the shallows. Saw 1 today, didn't have a lure small enough to pitch. Muskies will be bite'n soon...then its on.

They call it a Northern Piketrout, the state has been trying to breed them to kill off "The Real Trout" and now they want the northern piketrout to do manual labor. So their now crossing it with a shovel. You'd think that WDFW would be more creative with names........But no,....they just call it a Northern Piketroutshovel. Can you believe this, our tax dollars and this is the name they come up with.....

Yes,fishingmachine...I'm messing with you. No harm intended. I hope you had a good laugh.

Dude...you're funny!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention...it's on at Beaver...I went there yesterday and slammed em pretty good. One guy on the bank was watching me (and my 3 yr old) slay em' and he hollered out "save some for us". So I did. I left. I hope he caught some fish. I left right before it started snowin! I think I'm goin again tomorrow morning.

Well I know this is a forum and not a report......but since u asked. I caught around 12. Took home 6, the big one was caught to the right of the launch at the opening of that first cove u come to. Trolling a trout colored hot shot. He went about 13 inches. The rest were all in the 9 to 12 inch range. I cleaned them last night and not one had pink meat! all whites :-({|= so yeah...check the reports I posted some pics, they should be up soon!

I didn't see anybody doing anything....but I've learned to switch up tatics/lures if I'm not cathing fish. For instance: when we first got there we still fished off of bottom cuz I marked a bunch of fish....then after 45 minutes of no bites I trolled and bam fish on...kept trollin and lost one caught a small one (released) and then caught 2 more. Then marked another school, and started still fishing again with nothin. But the whole time I was still fishin this guy was drifting some power bait off of bottom and caught nothing.....so I rigged it up for trolling again and both poles got hit up! lost one cuz my 3 yr old was watching me instead of reeling in. Then proceeded to just get hits left and right.....I know it was probably because of the time (5PM) , but when I pulled in, so did the power bait drifter...he had nada....same with another guy who got there not long after me. So.....try trolling...I used a gold/silver dick nites, a trout colored needle fish, and a trout colored hot shot. The needle fish got the most strikes.

Ahhhh...the needlefish...my lovely friend...hint...hint...I caught TWO - 4 pounders in that cove on 03/28/07...last year...I keep a fishing journal and record all my reports and tactics used...it's about 250 pages long now...15 years of fishing both fresh and salt...it's fun to go back and look at when I was 11 years old trying to write in my "fish journal." It's great now, because I know what's hot and what's not and if I had success at that spot last year at the same time...it's gunna snow baby!! And Xavier won!!
