Northwest Fishing Reports

We just moved to ephrata wa and want to take our kids fishing from the bank for triploid trout. We've never been to chief Joseph dam, Bridgeport, or Rufus woods any tips? What's the best way to get there from ephrata? Thanks!

Best bet since there are multiple ways to answer this, is that you should go to the lake reports/info section and do some reading. Then Googlemaps the directions to the locations from your home address to find the best route. It even gives you multiple routes

Try to get near the pens if you can. The lower pens are next to a Church Camp / retreat /conference center. Nice folks and easy fishing there. There is also a good place (and popular) to fish at the middle pens. Many big fish taken at both.

Just head on through Soap Lake and take a right at Banks lake and follow it around past Grand Coulee.........

From the bank anywhere on Rufus Woods. Power bait, power bait, power bait.

Unless you are fishing from a Designated Fishing Area, current Regs pamphlet, pg 93:

Licensing Requirements - Douglas County shore (State license), on the water (either State or Tribal license accepted), Reservation (Tribal permit required or either license accepted at a signed "Designated Fishing Areas" (DFA) located and marked as such on the Colville Reservation shoreline).
