Is American Lake in trouble?

Catching rainbow or kokanee in American seems to have gone way downhill since the good years of 2014-2015.
The last NWFR report about catching kokanee was mid-September, 2018.

The WDFW website shows this year’s stocking of 21,000 rainbow is less than half of what they say they stocked in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Why have they reduced the rainbow stocking?

I’ve noticed that some new signs were installed this year at access places warning about algae.

What do you think is going on in American?

I hope not....

Feels like Washington State doesn't seem to plant the fish like they used to. Wonder if someone isn't telling the truth from the fisheries.....

Caught the 5 largest kokanee that I have ever caught on the west side of the mountains on this fine lake this year. I dont believe the lake is in trouble or even being mismanaged it is a multi species lake and early in the year it was red hot :salut:
