Need help finding/catching trout

My wife and I just fished today mainly around hawk creek (late start). We have never fished here this time of year...and it showed ![[sad]](./images/smilies/msp_sad.gif "Sad")
. Had a couple of drive-bys, but that was it. Seen 4-5 other boats but didn't see anyone catch anything. Thought id run towards sterling point, maybe even goat farm tomorrow. Looking for ANY helpful suggestions. Also am curious as to how long of a leader should i be using this fime of year? ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
