I am thinking of spooling up with this stuff to go trout fishing and was hoping someone can give me there experiance.

It's gonna cost you a bunch more. I can't remember how much a spool of Fireline is. But it's pricey.

Mono seems to do just fine. If your fishing for stockers or in any other lakes where the water is pretty clear, then I'd say stick with mono.

I've been using Sunline Sniper FC and a bit of Trilene 100% FC. Both seem to be a very good line so far.

I use the six pound test for trolling and casting

the great thing about this line is it has 0% stretch so you can really set the hook while trolling far behind your boat or making a super long cast. the other upside is that it does not tangle as much as mono. basically its worth it if you troll but I would not recommend it for bait fishing because of its higher visibility. By the way it costs about 14$

this line doesn't allow you to cast further

I have used 4# and 6# fireline for awhile now and swear by them for my light & med trout setups. I was even using the 6# for the river pinks last year with no problems. I have tried the 8# & 10#, but didn't like them as much, too stiff or something.
