I am a South Sound guy that doesn’t fish the north county. I would like to fish the Mill Creek area this weekend. I need some input on this area and where to fish? Thanks

Bob

Maybe try posting this in the freshwater forum, seems to get a lot more response there.
just my 2 cents

This isn't much help I am guessing, but the only lake I've fished in that area is Martha (Alderwood Mall). Heard there are nice sized bass, catfish, and trout there. But I have never had any luck there (though I have not tried it this year yet).

Martha Lake is the closest and probably has the best population of fish. Other than that there's ones down by Mountlake Terrace (Ballinger) and over by Woodinville (Cottage Lake). Martha would probably give the best results.

Maybe a MOD. can move it. Just trying to help stampie out. Theres a ton of anglers in this area, should be able to get some good stuff. The lakes suggested sound good too just seeing if theirs anymore options.

thanks to one and all that have tried to help. My son and family have decided to weather the crowds and go to mineral this weekend so I guess I am going south.

I don't know if you have a boat or not but it doesn't really matter...... Closest to Mill creek is Martha Lake (AM). They have a nice dock to fish from...east side of the lake. Don't fish from the swimming dock or you will get kicked out. Actually there are 2 docks about 200 ft apart. Use PB or worms off the bottom.... Small spoons and spinners also work well.

Next is Silver lake just south of Everett....15Min from Martha... also has docks to fish from along the east side of the lake....Same bait as mentioned..

Next is Ballinger and Echo just South on I-5 to exit 205th for Echo and the exit before 205th for Ballinger..Another 20 minutes of driving from Silver Lake. Both lakes have public access and Ballinger has a nice dock and park. again PB or worms and spoons and spinners work this time of year.

If you don't want to go south from Mill Creek just go down Seattle Hill road and head to Snohomish. Blackman lake is a great lake and is just on the North end of town..... Same type of baits but nicer fish..Couple of public docks...If you want to fish for salmon or steelhead try the Snohomish river right in the town...Lake Stevens is just 15min from there also.

This will keep you you going for a few days...All these lakes will only take you less than a 30 min drive from Mill Creek..Have fun.... BTW... Cottage lake is east of Mill Creek but the fish are small plants but there are lots of them....It takes longer to get there, Maybe 30 min..again,good luck and have fun. Just thinking and guessing, but I spose there are more than 10 lakes less than 30min from Mill Creek. Maybe more..... I'm not going to look on a map but I'm sure someone will. Go for it and have a great time.
