Northwest Fishing Reports

Hey guys a true 7 lb 2oz beast my son caught this fish on a 4' micro lite rod and 6 lb line. He was using a baby night crawler tipped with salmon egg under a red and white bobber. I was away from him and I hear dad I think I got 1 and I looked over at him and told him to stop pulling so hard he was hung up. Just then the pole about left his hands as he lessened up#-o I said ok pull and he ended up fighting this fish for over 5 mins until the drag went on the reel and I had to bring it the rest of the way in. It is a great fish but what makes it a true monster is the place it was caught. This fish was caught in a shollow lake out in the middle of the prairie 100% public access:cheers:

Nice fish. Thats better than my personal best for all species.

I would be jelous too, but that is one fish he will remeber forever, you should mount that one for him.

Make sure you fram that pic for him and put it in his wall too.

Right on I have never caught a trout near the size of that one. Atleast he doesnt have to tell the story of the "ONE THAT GOT AWAY" He got it. Way to go.
