Wondering if any of the members here have had the experience of catching golden perch.
I have caught many at American Lake that are exactly the same as a normal Yellow Perch except that the flesh is translucent golden in color instead of clear or pink as normal. They are caught right along with the normal perch and they look almost identical on the outside except that they seem a little more golden than yellow. I thought that perhaps they are colored this way due to their crawfish diet but I am doubting this now. Perhaps they are a mutation?
Anyone have similar catches?

Re: Golden Perch
I'm guessing nobody has caught any but me. Maybe my own reply to my post will get more looks and someone will have some input.

You didn't eat them did you? ![OhMyGod [omg]](./images/smilies/msp_ohmy.gif)
JK. I'm sure they're fine. Never heard of such a thing though.

Re: Golden Perch
These Russian forum posts are showing up more often. I google translated a couple that turned out to be sex ads. This one happens to be from a construction construction type company that does suspended ceilings. Why would they want to advertise here? I wish Mike and Aaron could send them a nice virus to keep them busy.
