Myron crappie

Post by panfisher » Sat Feb 20, 2010 8:12 pm

Had to go down and see if i could fool a few more papermouths. fished from 1:30-4:30pm using a small 1/80th oz white marabou jig worked real slow. the crappie were 10 1/2" smaller was 9 1/2" with a bonus 15 1/2" rnbw. lost a few others. talked to a fellow (brian) who brought his daughter along "pictured", said the trout were biting earlier that morning using a jig and bobber set up. never heard of this site and was new to myron lake. hope to have him "memberized" as i gave him a card to check it out.

Very nice! Which lake is Myron? I have heard of it, but am not sure which one it is. Is it the one where the record catfish came out of years ago? Those are some good looking crappie!! The freeway ponds up by Toppenish are starting to produce as well!

The lake you are refering to is lake Aspen which is off of 16th ave and hwy 12. Myron is off of 40th ave. get off of hwy 12 at 40th ave. turn left at the light, go down about a 1 1/2 blocks where you will see a marine/boat outfit to the left. Take the roed just past going down its right side to the parking lot. Keep your car locked as there have been some break-ins. there when there are few cars in the lot.

Gotcha! Wow, I go to the boat place to get parts once in a while. I did not know there was access to a lake behind it! Might give it a try on Sunday afternoon! Thanks for the info.
