2 rivers walleye tips

Hello!
I've been on the site for a while but never really used the forum. I'm writing to obtain some tips on targeting bigger walleye at 2 rivers. I've been there a couple times now and caught some smaller ones each time. I've used bottom bouncers and walley pop's or bottom bouncers and smiley wedding ring spinners. The last time I also used leaded line with a 20 ft mono leader and a husky jerk. The leaded line I read will drop the lure about 7 feet per 10 ft of line let off. I actually caught a small mouth with this method before the lure popped and started taking on water. It didn't really swim right after that.
I've got a small boat so I try to stay on the Spokane side and didn't really travel more than a a mile up river.
Are there any methods that will target larger walleye? Also is there any depth correlation to the size of the fish? I've fished between 20 and 50 feet. Last question is is there any area better than others? I don't want to steal your spots just wonder if wandering farther upstream is worth it?
Thanks!
