this should be the winter for some good panfishing opportunities on the I-82 ponds in the yakima area. i've been wanting to fish evergreen res. and stan coffin in the quincy area, but the ice conditions (cold weather) didn't seem to cooperate for some of these waters in the past. i'm thinking the the potholes should also provide some good bucket sitt'n this year. lets hear from you diehards what the conditions are looking like.:viking:

RE:this should be the winter!
Conditions in Spokane region, too cold to think about it. Let me get use to this for a while and I'll start thinking about it again (LOL).
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
RE:this should be the winter!
I'd love to give Evergreen a shot, especially for some walleye! Does anyone know if the irrigation canal gets shut off in the winter? I would think that the flow might prevent a good freeze up.
RE:this should be the winter!
i believe it is not flowing at this time .the last time i icefished evergreen was in "85" i believe? it had a good 20" of ice so i was able to drive around on it. caught some gill's and perch at that time. there is a good gill population in it and has everything else that would make it an exciting prospect.
