2011 Triploid stocking report by region

Nice link to check out. Look for your local lakes. I don't really care about targeting stocked rainbows, but you have to admit that the Triploids make a fine catch.
Take a close look at which lakes receive larger stocking of these fish. I try and look at the "Surface acres" size of the lake. There was a lake in Whatcom county that was only 30 acres, but received a HUGE amount of triploids.
Lake Padden, Whatcom county... 2500 ish trips!!! Typo? Can't be.

Dang, Roesiger got 3,500 half pounders AND 501 trips.... might be making a trip up there real real soon!

Score! I've been watching this list and making plans to target them as well. When it warms up a bit they may actually be hungry!

Wapato is NOT a new triploid lake unless they've killed it off. Theres been trips in there for YEARS.

This isn't about them being 'new' to a lake, it's the annual stocking program. Just because they are putting in fish this year, doesn't mean they didn't do it in previous years as well.

I'm sure it's right! You might want to check the regs, last time I looked Padden had become a "Juvenile" lake, at least part of the year. It's always been kind of a swamp too. If you fish it, fish early before the water warms up. And watch the ducks!!!!!

I fished Padden a fair amount, there is a good population of Perch in there as well that gets little to no fishing pressure. It is a lowland lake and it opens the last Saturday or April. I never caught a trip out of there nor did I know they put them in there, but the fishing is good for rainbows and cutts in the spring. There are also kokanee but I never caught any. As far as I know there are NO juvenile only regs for that lake. Combustion motors are also prohibited, we would always fish from my 12' cartopper w/ motorguide trolling motor. We caught perch up to 16" out of there.

If you notice Wapato has an asterisk next to it. Go to the bottom where the legend is and it says "* New Triploid Trout Lake".
