Lake Chelan locations

Post by bionic_one » Mon Apr 04, 2011 3:30 pm

All the reports from Lake Chelan reference places like 'the bar' 'trench' 'flats' etc... Where exactly are these places?

They aren't the best, but here is a link to a report that contains some maps for Lake Chelan. Perhaps someone in the know can mark a few key spots in Wapato Basin on the map for us.

Yes the kings are land locked. All the places you are wanting information from is basically just off of wapato point and down lake from manson. The bigger macks that Joe has been catching are up lake from manson in front of the yacht club. Its tough to describe... Id say go out with the guide to figure out where everything is and be shown how to fish for them... Its pretty tricky.

If you're a premium member, go to "Members", then GPS HotSpots, then enter Washington, Chelan county, and lake Chelan.

You'll be given a map full of gps coordinates that Anton Jones and others have provided. Each hotspot has specfic coordinates to enter and comments, with links to the reports themselves.

If you're not a premium member, well, go fish! [sleep]

I was having some trouble earlier, but I just checked and it popped right up. It was hanging on a google download earlier today.

Now that you have located a map on these spots, if you check out the April issue of Northwest Sportsman Magazine you will find in my column a very detailed article on how to work it. The information came from the best, Anton Jones of Darrell & Dads Guide Service.
