Trout Lake/White Salmon

Hi all,

Will appreciate your recommendations for lakes and rivers to fish in the White Salmon/Trout Lake area, for later in August.
Shore fishing with rods. Introducing a newbie to the game :)
Tips on best equipment/bait to the time and area are most appreciated.
