So, I went back to Idylwood Park to see if I could get a bite. There were two guys out there fising the bottom and I was castng out. Obviously fishing. There's a sign right next to the water that says No Dogs on the beach. Two ladies come waltzing down the trail with their dog and start throwing sticks in the water to get their dog to go in. Hello! Talk about dense.
Now to take it to another level, there's also a HUGE sign that says no boats within 300 ft of the beach. There's even bouy's there marking to no boat zone. Well, some nugget brings their boat RIGHT ONTO THE BEACH. Not 50 ft from the sign.
I just sat there looking stunned at those people. Shesh.

In those situations I just shake my head and laugh. That's really all you can do.

I also like the a**holes that seem to want to only jetski on the lake in the area you're fishing at,seems like it happens alot when we go out to some of the lakes.

Why did you not grow some balls and say someting to both the boater and ladies with the dogs. "You have to lie down to be walked on'! I do not understand that when people see people break the rules we just sit there and say nothing. I am not attacking you Mikey, I agree with you 100%. Take photos of boat number and area and submit it to local authorities, same for ladies. Stand up for what is right everyone!!! I know this is a different time we live in but we need to make a stand against people like this. OK rant over.

I think its all in how you phrase it. Politly point out the sign to the woman with the dogs. Play it like you are doing her a favor. Tell her you just saw the parks people issue a ticket to another woman not five minutes ago and you wouldn't want her to get one too. She will probrable thank you and move on quickly. And it is more fun and more affective than putting her on the defensive with you by barking at her, Hey Lady Cant You Read The Sign!

I remembered reading this thread earlier today and so here is my "here's your sign" contribution.....
Took my son to Bear Lake as he wanted to go fishing...it was around 8:30pm and I figured he would only be interested for a little while anyways...
So we get there and the main fishing dock (the one with rails) has three MEN out there and what appeared to me as one INFANT siting in a car seat. Now I being a nice guy gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured well maybe one of the three MEN was actually under 15 since this lake is juvenile and disabled only.......
....but in actuality all of the three men were indead NOT under 15....all three smoked...and the youngest looking one was the one who was changing the INFANT's diapers. Yeah I doubt the child was much more older than a year to year and a half...and to top it off they had an UNLEASHED rottwieller on the dock...which growled at us as we walked by on the shore....Im glad I didnt intend to fish off the dock anyways.
So here is the ethical question...the lake does permit an adult to accompany a child under 15 or a disabled person...but I hardly doubt three people who need to accompany an INFANT...and this is what really angered me as a parent. The little INFANT was allowed to walk up and down the dock freely by itself...all three MEN having their backs turned to the child.....all I have to say to them is....HAPPY FATHER'S DAY....i really wanted to say something to them but I had my 2yr old son with me...who caught a bluegill all by himself...well I did cast it for him lol...and I didnt want to start a confrontation in front of him....I'll be glad when the county parks dept takes over control of the lake.
....and thanks to the guy who was fishing in the spot before me who left the big wad of waste fishing line....I threw it away for you.

How about the people at Pine Lake who launch 16' trailer boats in front of a sign that says, "Hand launch and car topper boats only"? And then proceed to submit a report commenting on how the launch is unsuitable for trailer boats? All I say is Wow....
