Availibility : I have tues., weds., thurs. off and go atleast once a week. looking 4 a +1 about half the time.(most of my buddies work durring the week)

I smoke and occasionally have a beer while im out, curse a bit and blaze a lot. Usually have to make trips short by my standards, norm is 9am - 2pm depending how far away I go. Kids are home at 3pm so I have to be also. I would love to meet more fisher peoples in the area & share knowledge & a great day of fishing. I have yet to get in a good day on Long Lk. and need an experienced +1 for that trip w/ good knowledge of the lake.

I don't have a boat, been fishing this year for SMB shore fishing on the Columbia near The Dalles, some trout, and recently Salmon on the Sno/Sky and Deception pass. All shore fishing. I'm available most days - semi-retired ; ) - and willing to do a little travel. Would love to do some salt-water Salmon fishing when the season's right, or river fish for salmon/steelhead this winter. Would also be willing to try for some Kokes, but not sure I've got the gear for it, let me know what I'd need. I'm good company, responsible, and on time.

Will share gas cost and help launching, etc.

Good luck fishing!!!

If anyone is going trout fishing tomorrow (friday) shoot me a PM. I don't have a boat, but I'm just thinking of hitting Pine one last time tomorrow. If anyone has an extra spot on their boat, shoot me a PM, I'll pretty much drive anywhere to get out on a boat. I live in Renton, don't work on Friday's, so usually it's my day to get out and fish. I don't have a Salmon rig yet, or I'd be out doing that now. If anyone has a spot, I will gladly contribute $ for gas, bring some munchies etc. and of course I have my fresh and saltwater licenses.

Have a great weekend

I have the next 3 weeks off from 12-12-09 to 1-05-10 and would like to get on a boat fishing Rufus Woods, Lake Chelan, or Walleye fishing anywhere close to Okanagan County. I don't want to waste this precious time frame. I have been fishing Omak lake with good results (see my page) and will be doing a few trips there.

Also looking for an adult or two to rent the "Cabin at the Woods" with myself and two sons to keep costs down. I have my own boat.

That would be "Cabin by the Lake" instead of Cabin by the woods. That was a test. I'm talkin' Rufus Woods. They have opennings around the third and forth weeks in December.Must Go Fishing!

Name: Jeremy
Location: Puyallup
Fishin Spots: Almost any river or lake in Pierce or Thurston counties, as well as a little bit of saltwater fishing in M/A 13 or 11.

I am normally out fishing every weekend, and sometimes during the week if I can get away. I have my own boat, an 18.5' 1999 Bayliner Capri, but it's used mainly for wakeboarding. That's only because I don't have downriggers or fishfinders, but I'm willing to try almost anything. I have almost any gear you could think of (float tube, extra rods, extra set of waders) as well as my own crab-pots and know of a few very productive crabbing spots. I would be willing to take someone out with me, but would love to hitch a ride with a local expert, as I have only lived here for a few years. I would be willing to buy gas/beer/lunch or whatever else for someone with a seat open for lake Chelan, Rufus Woods, or some good saltwater fishing. I also regularly fish alot of the rivers around here, so if anyone is lookin for some company just let me know

[quote="Mike Carey"]I know there's a lot of demand for a Fishing Buddy Feature so until we get one running let's try this. Post if you're interested in finding someone to fish with and what days off you have. Add any particulars you'd like. As the list builds it will give you a quick "go to" list to contact people that may have those days off. You can also use this thread to announce "Open Boat" invites as well.

RULES: (at least to start!) If someone declines an invite accept it without making a big deal of it. There can be any number of reasons why a person would say no, so if they tell you "no thanks, not today" let it go at that. No pressure, no worries and this should work good for finding new fishing buddies.

Legal Disclaimers: Use of this list is voluntary. Members are encouraged to know who you are fishing with. If you are under eighteen you need to include that because parents will need to give permission. WL.com can not be held liable for Fishing Buddies Gone Bad. :chef:

I'll go first and we'll add to this list as time goes on. Please use your member name so people can look up PMs easily:

ryan2202 - Fly fish rivers, lakes would love to fly fish the salt. I hardware fish for trout and bass too. Love fishing Salt, just don't have the means to right now...Up for putting gas money with the buddy. I don't own a boat, have access to a small 10ft aluminum with small electric motor. Easiest way to contact me: Email me at [email protected] - it gets checked all the time and alerts my cell when I have new email.
Disclaimer: I smoke and have a potty mouth. If you're allergic to smoke or f-bombs, putting us in a jon boat together is probably not a good idea hehe. I'm also a big guy (6'1, about 300) so if I'll sink your Livingston, keep that in mind :)

Name: Mark
Location: Auburn
Age: I would have to say I'm getting old (almost 40)
Occupation: U.S. Army Ranger (currently active duty with over 11 years in)
Fishing Spots: Anywhere I can drop or cast a line. Lakes/Rivers

New to this site! I will be on mid-tour R & R for 2 weeks in the latter part of FEB 2010 (trying to go fishing then), and then when I get back in the Fall of 2010 I would love to go fishing as well. I will usually work Mon-Fri 5am-5pm with some 3 day weekends in there. Since I don't have a boat yet, I am asking if anyone wants a fishing buddy. I won't be buying a boat until after deployment (thanks to the wife). I am willing to help out with gas, food, bait, and lauching the boat. I've been fishing my whole life. I have no problems with catch a release. I'll go anywhere to fish and fish for anything. Musky's, Salmon, Steelhead, Trout, Bass, Northerns, Pan fish...etc. Just looking to have fun and enjoy myself, tell a few fish stories, and hopefully catch some fish. Let me know if you have room on a boat or just want a fishing buddy for some shore/bank fishing. Take it easy! BTW Did anyone fishing Lake Tapps (North) ever find or catch a Tiger Musky with a 12" perch lure in it????? I lost it in late summer '09, hope the fish is still alive!!!!

RE:Fishing Buddies/Open Boat Availablity List

Post by The Quadfather » Thu Feb 04, 2010 6:06 pm

[quote="Mike Carey"][quote="Mike Carey"]I know there's a lot of demand for a Fishing Buddy Feature so until we get one running let's try this.

Mike Carey - I work every other weekend, available on some weekdays - Mondays and Tuesdays. Have boat, Westside Puget Sound area. I'll fish trout (fly or hardware), bass, and muskie. Also saltwater and rivers when the mood strikes.

The Quadfather - I fish bass or trout or panfish from a boat. Westside, generaly the King/Snohomish County area. I very much enjoy fishing cutthroat on Lake Wa. and always like to have a person along for that. Also bottom fish Puget Sound. I have started salmon fishing on Puget Sound in areas 10 and 9. I have downriggers, f.f. etc. I am very much a rookie with salmon fishing, but happy to give it a go. My days to fish are wide open due to uncertanties in my work right now. When warm bass weather is here, I am always available in the evenings to hit a lake within King/Snohomish county, usually from the float for quickness.

reddog - East side. North Spokane. Weekends, typicly Saturday. A weekday evening at Eloika or Diamond on occasion. Bass, Pike, etc. Very rarly trout. Even caught a bass in Diamond. One of my "target fish" success stories. Have exchanged cell # with another "east sider" from another post. Look forward to meeting more WALakes.com members over here that like Bass fishin.

stanford - I'm available SAT and SUN most of the time. Fish the Salt, just need some gas money to get off the ramp. Live in Edgewood/Black Diamond area.

ryan2202 - Fly fish rivers, lakes would love to fly fish the salt. I hardware fish for trout and bass too. Love fishing Salt, just don't have the means to right now...Up for putting gas money with the buddy. I don't own a boat, have access to a small 10ft aluminum with small electric motor. I fish from the pontoon a lot. I live in the south king county area, but not stuck to that location, I can get around easily to anywhere. I'm free some weekdays in the afternoon. Most weekends are free for me as well.

mav186 - Boat- Yes (186 Weldcraft)
Primary Fishing- Lakes and Rivers for Rainbow, Cutthroat, Silvers, Wally’s, Catfish, and yes…even Bass (lol)
Would Like to Learn- Sturgeon, Salmon, Steelhead (salt and fresh)
Primary Locations Fished
-Western Wa- Lake WaWa, American Lake, Lake Sammamish, Alder Lake
- Eastern Wa- Rufus, Roosevelt, Curlew, Banks, Potholes

General Notes- Typically have an open seat(s) when I go. I will use this list and send out PM’s to find potential fishing partners when I go out. This will include trips east of the mountains as well. If you fish these areas or anything similar to these…please don’t hesitate to PM me. We can go in my boat, your boat, both boats, or by shore if river fishing. I’m pretty low keyed with one helluva sense of humor…Thanks!

Name: Jeff Wagner

Location: Mountlake Terrace

Age: 53 going on 25

Fishing -
When: Weekends (after honeydos - usually Sundays), Summer weekday evenings, any other time I can get away with it
What: Trout, Salmon, Bass, Crappie, Perch, and anything that doesn't suck scum off the bottom
Where: Anywhere I can find any of the above, but usually the Snohomish/King county area
How: Fly & spincast from float tube, wading, bank (no boat, but love to ride)
Ethic: Usually C & R, but will cook-up an occasional trout

Filthy habits: Smoking and drinking - in moderation

I'm fairly new to the greater Seattle area (since Sep. '09) and just learning the waters. I'm interested in hooking up with seasoned locals who can show me the ropes.
