who do you have car insurance with? As they can most likely give you a quote on the new boat and remember you may want to ask about Endorsements for the stuff that the boat did or did not come with as if you have a claim (hopefully NOT) you want to be covered and do not want to find out when it is too late. I can offer to help interpret the policy and endorsements as I do work for an insurance company. and I do know how to read the insurance Language.

some may cover just the boat but not belongings as in down riggers life vest what not some may only cover one motor these are things you want to be sure about? gps fish finders even if the boat comes with it and if the agent says it is all covered make sure they note the system as so because Gawd forbid you have a claim and someone like me that comes out and informs you some things are not covered and or somethings are covered but has a max limit then some people tend to get a little pissed off but like I tell my customers by the time I get the claim it is already too late to change things now.

when you work for an insurance company there are things people never think about Including myself!

I pm'd you my contact info when and if you have questions.

But best bet is to take the boat down to the agent depending on what insurance you have and have them look at it. to determine I tell my customers better to have over coverage then not enough! That my golden rule.

As for me and my cars I could care less for coverage's as most cases I will fix the damage myself if time permits me to do so.
