Downrigger mounts

I put some downrigger mounts on my mirro craft boat a week ago and figured I would share some pictures. I had to drill a few holes but that is to be expected. I bought the DR mounts from Duroboat, called them up and set them a check in the mail and a few weeks later a set arrived in the mail. Great peolple to deal with and overall a very nice product. My only issues with them is there rough edges the seem not to deburr anything so I filed down the sharp areas with a flat file all good. The rubber washers they use with these are great, I can think of a few areas I could us extra's.

Not bad for 29.00 a piece and only paid shipping on one as two fit in one box. I looked all over trying to find a mount I wanted and would look good and last and found these. I hope I can help someone save some time searching for some.

gfakkema, I did check out Auburn sports they had three or four but they were in the 30-40 bucks and did not match the conture of the boat really well so I kept looking. I searched pages and pages online of pictures of the way people mounted DR on there little boats. I had a 2x6 bolted to the oar supports last year it worked but a pain to cross over and well the looks are another story all together. As for fishing mainly lakes right now but these would work on the sound they are solid, if I had it to do over again I would install they right over the bench just to get more support on the side of the hull but they are strong where there at for what I am doing.

The nice thing is the worked and bolted right on and came with SS fasteners and some nice waterproof washers and with the brand you know its going to last.
