new boat
Re: new boat
It is tight Phil kinda annoying considering its a 92" beam. But I will add my short arms and the tiller arm being at roughly 35 degrees it worked good when side drifting or back trolling. Ill prob have the brackets mounted 18" from where they currently sit.
Re: new boat
When you do go to mount the brackets make sure your power cords still reach the plug in and turn the DR into the travel position. Some guys like them boom forward some boom to the stern but try both ways so you know you have enough room and the cord does not bind. Don't ask me how I know.....lol. I became an expert in extending a cannon power cord, look good and you would never see unless you were really looking but it was not as easy at one would think unless you really like a big bulge in the middle of your power cord. More food for thought from someone who has been there done that.

Ha ha thats was the first thing I thought off. My cord will reach with spare if anything it would be turned to bow unless I hit something and dragged the whole thing to the stern.Hunter757 wrote:When you do go to mount the brackets make sure your power cords still reach the plug in and turn the DR into the travel position. My last boat I installed a lot of gear, tr1, stereo, ff, sounder, led lighting , wash down pump. Tap myself on the back because everything worked like it should. Unlike this one. The factory fitted wash-down pump leaks a bucket load, upon inspection they had damaged the rubber washers. Simple fix that is so preventable.
