55lb Minn Kota needs help )-:

Post by The Quadfather » Tue Apr 28, 2009 9:18 pm

My 55lb Minn. K. is only 2 years old and something is wrong. :-({|= :-({|= It is running very rough/not steady. and it is def. not running at full power, sometimes it will just quit. The battery has nothing to do with it.
Has anybody experienced anything like this? The place I bought it from is out of business. I was wondering if there is anyone in greater Seattle who services these things?

thanks

Yes I had trouble but mine died quickly. If you use it again when it is acting up look at the prop and see how it is turning. Mine barely moved when it had the vibration.

Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Toni,

Thanks for the info. on Angler's choice. I just bought a new reel there a couple days ago. I didn't know that they had anything to do with service.

Hey Quad,
I just picked up my MK from Angler's choice last weekend. They replaced the autopilot and installed a copilot for me.
They are the only authorized MK factory repair shop in the state. Your MK could still be under the MK factory warranty.
Their repair guy is an older gent named Walt and he did me right.
Good luck!

Many of the people on the BBC forum have Jones trolling motor do all of their work. Not local, I think kentucky, but very reputable. Jonestrollingmotor.com I think.

Big D, I don't think that they are the ONLY authorized repair shop. I had different warranty issues on my 24 volt MK and the service number gave me a guy in Spokane. Still, that was last year, so perhaps..............
