We had a ball fishing a little lake on Saturday and caught a bunch of those little hatchery trout. On the way back to the boat launch the Evinrude 110 outboard's power trim motor made a week little, "whyee, wherm" - than silence when I tried to raise the engine. We used a voltage meter to trace the problem back to the power trim motor, so that means the switch appears to work, the relays are still good, but the motor must be/has gone.
I've checked with various parts sources and can get the part for a reasonable price, but wanted to know if anyone has experience with this repair and may be able to share advise. To get the back screws off the power trim motor it looks like I need to remove the outboard from the boat and lift it somehow. Any ideas would be helpful.
Keep me posted and tight lines, David

Rent a "Cherry Picker" like youd use for a car engine. My motor has attach points on it. Use GOOD grade chain.
I dont have power trim so... thats all I can offer on that.
