What it was when I got it was a 7' livingston that had a cracked gunwale from a badly installed davit system. Thankfully the crack didn't reach to the hull.
I added the fold down dolly wheels at the aft,
Now I have added to it the port side 2X8 that will support a host of things, such as the pole holder shown.
Advantages, that I perfer over a toon, it is light, as a toon. and it's a boat, and I usually stay drier.
Disadvantages, it doesn't deflate and disassemble.
Right now my *HOPE* is that it will support both a 4HP yamaha, and the Minnkota 55lb. not sure if it will drag down the aft end too much though. I will be water testing that setup tomorrow.
Battery and Gas tank will sit on the starboard side, while my feet sit in the left. I have already found that with the Minnkota alone and the battery that without me it is quite unbalanced with the battery in the starboard side.
Also I am not fully happy with the treated wood I put in, it is much heavier then I planned on, planned on 1-2lbs added ended up with 4-5lbs with the treated wood.
The whole premise behind this boat was to build a light, portable substitute to a pontoon. Everything of any significant wieght is supposed to be able to be removed except for the aft wheels and their aluminum mounts.

the boat was free, the wheels were $79, the mounting panels were free. the rest was less then $100.
If I had to build it from scratch,
- boat would probablly be $300 or less(Craigslist)
- The wheels $79
- Rod Holders ~$25
- lumber, bolts nuts etc ~ $25
So less the $500 without motors.
