RE:MY NEW LIVINGSTON
Oh, I was talking for the tournament...what is your boat rated for Horsepower wise? You haven't answered that question...fishingmachine wrote:what are u talking seriously or do u want to stick with beaver
As far as next weekend is concerned please PM me...as I don't want to clutter the threads with a bunch of PM's...(probably Beaver...

RE:MY NEW LIVINGSTON
YO FM! I feel like we're cousins now! I have a 12ft Livingston that I bought off of craigs list last year from an older gentleman in Tacoma. Is yours trailored? If it is, make sure that the bearings (spell check?) are good. Mine was an old 1979 EZ load trailor, with 10 inch wheels and bad bearings. So the first thing I did was take it to Auburn Sports Marina and had them put new wheels on. Now I have 12 inchers with all new bearings and it pulls pretty smooth. Then I had them install a fishfinder. Let me tell you something, I've never caught more fish consistently. It's night and day. To be able to know the water temp and depth is crucial to catching fish! I've always done pretty well trolling, but to be able to spot a school and drop anchor is a great advantage. I put some Scotty pole holders on, but they're mainly for my kids, so they don't start sword fighting with the poles while we're trolling! I agree that holding the pole is the best feeling. When I'm by myself, which is rare, I hold the pole. But when I have a couple of people in the boat, those holders come in handy. But don't settle for anything less than Scotty. I hope to see you out there soon....I'm not hard to find......not a lot of brothas on the water in a 12ft livingston with 15 kids in the boat!
