Trailer Lights!!!

Post by racfish » Tue Aug 24, 2010 12:19 pm

Well for once it seems that my trailer lights actually worked fine. In years past Those darned lights never seem to work correctly.Friday I was getting my boat ready for Sat fishing. I hitched it up,plugged in the lights, and lord and behold, the lights all worked. I pinched myself to make sure I wasnt dreaming.I looked again and again all the blinkers worked and the lights were great. I even bought a spare pair of U-Haul lights for just this problem. The other nice thing was the motor started right away on the first key turn. Wow This day started out great. In years past I had always bought used equip. and got someone elses problems with the purchase.

Gotta love that! By chance did you do any preventative maintenance before sitting the boat and trailer? A little PM goes a long way towards making it an enjoyable fishing trip.

Amen G-man. I have a circut tester for trailers but I did not find it. I do look at these things a few times a year plus whenever I go in salt I take my boat to the lake submerge trailer and bottom of boat then take it home and wash them. I spray a lil silicone protectant on the wire connections.
