We are wanting to add a shelf in our boat and Id like to make it out of 1/2" thick starboard or something similar depending on how $$ it is.

Anyone know where I can get a 2'x4' piece at a reasonable price?

ebay has smaller cut pieces, or try Port Plastics in Tukwila

Thanks. I remembered there is also a plastics supplier in Tacoma. I will check with both.

Interstate Plastics in Kent or TAP plastics sell remnants for a lot cheaper than the pre-cut sheets. I was able to get a 26"x44" sheet for $50. It's now a 20"x38" cutting board.

I always wonder why there isn't a more readily available supply of that. Home Depot should sell it. I have a lot of applications for it but it's either too expensive or not available when I need it.
