This weekend I learned the importance and handiness of having an automatic bilge pump.I took my Smokercraft 16' Tracer out Sat in heavier water.(whitecaps) in area 8.2.Everytime wedstop to pull pots waves were crashing in a lil.Hit the bilgepump and water jetted out.Way better then the handpumps I use to use.It sure was nice having that system put it .When I got home I flushed it with fresh water.It was rough water but my craft handled it well.

I was out in the same area, same time, and kept my bilge on. I am not sure it was working, so think I am going to clean or replace it, but I surely felt the same concern! It was rough.
