Acceptable Boat Vehicle ID Stickers
I need opinions on these stickers:
Hardline Factory Matched Number Kit
They "Meet U.S. Coast Guard Requirements", but will they work in Washington?

RE:Acceptable Boat Vehicle ID Stickers
they sell those in about every boat store I've been in and I've seen them on many boats, soooooooooo I followed the directions on the registraton from here. I have known people that have taken a lot of grief over the numbers they've chosen. Those look cool!!!!

Hey Aaron,
I found out last fall when I purchased my boat that one of the main requirements was that the letters had to be in a contrasting color not necessarily black or blue. After talking with the boat dealer I decided to go with a letter color matching the colors of my boat. I think it just looks better. Mine & your boat look to be about the same colors so you might look into matching the colors for your boat.

Ok. I purchased these from the dealer when I was in finalizing the paperwork. They told me they were fine, but when I read the regs it calls for BLOCK style lettering. These are not really block style... but if everyone thinks they are ok, then that is good enough for me.

You'll be fine Aaron...as long as there's somewhat of a contrast. I have them on my new Weldcraft and used them for over 10 years on my Tracker prior to that. Never had any problems and passed plenty of launch site inspections.

Technically I think the term "block" lettering just means anything with an outline, that is not simply just 1 simple line. Those letters will do you just fine my friend.
