I have a canoe that I mount an electric trolling motor on. Does anyone know, in boat launches that post "no motorized boats allowed". What is their definition of "motorized"? There are definitions for lakes that do not allow combustible engines. But on a lake that does (like Lake Washington) the launches are for motorized or non-motorized. The way I figure it - if I were waiting to launch my boat and the guy I was waiting on was loading his canoe, when there was a beach 50' away, I would be a little errr.. fustrated? So, with that argument in mind, I use the "no motors" launches but I am always wondering if I will ever get any grief for it.

I don't think you will get any grief for using an electric motor at a non-motorized boat launch. But then again, I have not been in that situation.

The way I read the regs as long as you don't have a gas motor mounted on the boat you are fine
