Does anyone here have a Quince tree? Which is different from a quince bush. The tree will have an yellow apple looking fruit that is really bad tasting.I use it as a natural pectin. It has one of the highest concentrations of pectin and has an aromatic smell and taste. The Hispanic culturals use them to make a candy or a fruit cheese called "membrillo"In the Greek Isles its called "Bembrillio".You slice it like a fruit cheese and eat it after the meal.It cleanses your pallet and helps in digestion. It also helps the Insulin Co. Eli Lilly. If eaten a lil at a time it wont skyrocket the Blood Sugars. Hehehe.
I use it with my apple sauce that I freeze. Quince adds a thickner to the apples when freezing them.If you have any or know of anyone that just lets it rot away I'd drive just about anywhere to pick them. Thanks>>>>>>>>:chef:

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.
