A Quick Delicious Breakfast

After trying frozen microwavable pancakes, I decided to make them up my self. On lazy weekend mornings, I get out the griddle and make up a large batch of Snoqualmie Falls flap jacks. I then place 2 cakes and 2 sausage links in a 1 quart zip lock bag and freeze them. Just heat them up in the microwave for 45 seconds and you have a great, quick breakfast. They turn out moist and fluffy just like off the grill.

I have to agree. If you are looking for a mix for pancakes, I think there is no better than the Snoqualmie Falls mix.:chef:

Ok. You have me intrigued. I'm always looking for a good pancake. Is the snoqualmie a mix or recipe to find?

It's a mix you can find in area Safeway stores (at least mine carries it...). Great for waffles too!

yeah you can buy it to take home when you go to salish lodge. I didn't know they sold it on stores.

I think that most of the major grocery stores in Washington stock it. One tip though, on the directions it says to cook at 375º, but I decrease that temp to about 325º and they turn out a light golden brown. Also, if you like the top and bottom a bit more crispy, add an egg to the mix.

I have been freezing hotcakes for about 15 years. Make a big batch for the kids on the weekend and then I could use them for dinners weeknights.
But not Snoqualmie Falls mix.
