Local Shrimp

Post by racfish » Fri Jun 14, 2013 8:53 am

Yesterday I was working in Port Townsend then took the Keystone ferry across to Whidbey. We went to Deception pass after a brief stop in Oak Harbor. We walked a lil after eating these humoungus grilled Rueben sandwiches. Afterwards we went into the Campbell Lake area and bought 4 lbs of local "Coon Shrimp" OMG are those delish. We were peeling shrimp all the way back to I-5 . The bridge was closed and I-5 was detoured. We took the back way to I-5 via La Connor. This was great because we ate more shrimp. Tonites dinner will be fresh smoked ribs and the other 2 lbs of shrimp.

I know the place you talk of. It's been there for years. We used to stop there all the time when living up there and still do whenever I get in that area. Very addictive stuff.

Sweet D's is where I stop. They make great burgers and very good fish n chips.
