Cedar plank cooking

Post by Sorbothegeek » Sun Aug 09, 2020 1:02 pm

If I were to soak the cedar planks in a river/stream/creek would that be a bad idea? Got beaver fever water when a kid. Don’t want to make that mistake again. 🙄😏

The time spent fishing should not be deducted from one's life span.
Can't work right now. My arm is in a cast.

I dont soak my Cedar planks when cooking fish on the BBQ. I don't mind the wood charring a lil adding some nice smokey flavor. I dont know how much I would trust creek or river water these days.
