Difference between squid seasons??

Are there really two season runs of squid? The summer run and the winter run?


if so!? when do they both really start getting caught at edmonds pier?

Largemouth:

PB: 6 pounds

2011: 6 Pounds

Smallmouth:

PB: 5 pounds

2011: 4 lbs

During the winter season they tend to be lower up in depth then in summer months. Or so it seems. During winter jigging I'm losing more jigs bouncing them off the bottom.

Im new to the whole squiddin gig. Im in Oly and havent the foggiest on where to go. Alls I know is that I missed the winter run. When is the next possability and where??
