I guess it all depends on your prospective. ( I speak of the newspaper article writer's perspective I mean)
My wife's side of the family is all from Louisianna and crawfish are a huge part of our life, I am looking at 3lbs in freezer at this moment.
I just think it is great to see any crawfish found locally. As far as some of the phosphorous production increase goes..... well, maybe that remains to be seen, maybe that is paperwork theory that hasn't been founded yet.
But thanks for posting that. It just means to me that more of us who enjoy crawfish have a new place to hit harder, of course we would be doing the right thing by keeping those numbers down too!

Hey, a thought... more crawfish in Pine lake, regardless of their variety= mo bigga bass!

Pine Lake is teeming with them. Throw a fish carcass in about 10' of water, and check on it three hours later. It will be the focal point of a crawdad war or have been eaten already.

Edit: the fishing pier is not a good place to find them. Look for private docks and shelter well away from the pier.

I'm gonna have to go drop a pot out there sometime...

What do the crawfish taste like? A bit like lobster? I've never tried one. I tend to not eat the "bait." And I gave up Velveeta Cheese years ago.

Yea like lobster I'd say. Definetely not as good as crab, but still worth trying if you can get a good potful and a good recipe to cook em up...

WHAT?!?! Come on Sam, even with the seasoning it's not even close! Catch a few (eat) then head to Red Lobster!!

I guess Ill have to try your seasonings for the craws cause I thought they were similar in taste...
