quality geoduck beach?

Post by Fish-or-man? » Sun Jun 21, 2009 4:23 pm

Heya,

I haven't had geoduck (to eat) since I was a wee lad. I tried the beach at Allyn last year, and had no luck (although steamers and oysters were very abundant). I even ruined a trash can to get at 'em :). Any ideas of a good spot to try this summer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Mon-Fri this week in the afternoon are some great tides. The lower the better for duck huntn.
Other than that your lookn at July 18-25 until more quality duckn tides come around.

Your going to need to travel North to get some great geoduckn waters. Travel up the 101 on the extremely low tides this year and you'll find them.

Duckabush
Dosewallips
and even more north

My favorite beach is Cliffside all the way past Hansville at the end of the Kitsap Pennisula. Way out in no man's land, but that's what you have to do to find good claming anymore.

Good luck out there, and remember to fill your holes. :thumleft:

Thanks a lot Fishnislife! I'll check my tidebook and get up there this week or the week of the 18-25th!
