Fishing pole repair suggestions?

Post by fisherman92 » Mon Dec 16, 2019 12:01 pm

Hey all,
Glad to see the forum is back!
Question: I have 2 poles in need of minor repairs. One has a missing plastic piece on the last eye so its bare metal. Another pole I have has a similar issue where the plastic piece on the inside of the last guide eye has been chipped/damaged so when in use my line will get roughed up and start to unravel. Anyone have suggestions to a local (everett/snoho) who does minor pole repairs? These poles were less than $150 each so I dont want to get crazy but thought I would ask.
Thanks!

I don't know of anyone but its pretty simple to put on a new eye. I did it and I'm not very handy.

agree, you can totally do this repair, pretty easy. It won't look like factory new but it will perform just fine. Paying to have it done may not be worth it to be honest. BTW, in my experience, running bare metal on the guide has never been an issue. Guess I've been lucky!

Greggs in Lake Stevens does a great job with all repairs and is very reasonable.
