Arctic Char
Now that the interior of AK has warmed up, I'm starting to have some still water days reminiscent of the good ones in Washington! The local lakes are full of damsel and dragon fly nymphs, and the fish love em! Here's some arctic char I got from a local lake. Over a 3-day period I caught and released 40 fish, but also kept some for table fare. All taken on damsel nymphs fished over weed beds in 10-12' of water. The rumors I've heard are true.....char are delicious!
