Texas Redfish

Post by cwbraue » Mon Jul 19, 2021 5:28 am

I knocked another fish off my list of species to catch while I'm living down here- Redfish. I believe the actual name is Red Drum, this is a salwater fish that they planted in 2 lakes near San Antonio and they have thrived in warm freshwater (the lakes are kept warm all year by power plant discharges). Anyways, this fish was about 18 inches, several pounds, and fought like a steelhead. I let it go after taking some pictures, but it was quite and experience.
