Well here are a few...........

Post by fish_4_all » Thu Dec 03, 2009 1:27 pm

I just wanted to try and get this forum rocking a little with some pictures of flies and jigs I have tied. All of these are hand tied by myself as well painted. I think this could be a great section so let's get some more pictures on here

If you want to know about any of them specifically let me know.

This picture is Steelhead/salmon jigs

This one is small steehlead/salmon jigs

The next 3 are trout, crappie and panfish jigs

Those look like fun to make. It is giving me ideas. The trouble is I have not caught any thing recently on what I have made. I did buy some gray jig heads and the paint. So I was going to try my hand at that. I just started trying for salmon. I did well on the jig I made for the sound and Pinks

Those are awesome! Do you use any rabbit fur/hair on any of your steelhead jigs? Thanks for sharing!

I'm impressed! I like the ones where you tied the feathers coming out sideways on the jig, very creative idea. This is how you can stumble on the next great jig that know one else has thought of - think outside the box.

thanks for sharing.

Those will never work!! Complete junk. You should just send them to me so I can properly dispose of them.

Nice jigs!

I've been tying on jig hooks myself recently. Nymph and crayfish patterns mostly. I'll try to upload a photo.

Well, got the bug, so tried a few myself...be kind, it's my first attempt. For Steelhead.

The bottom two pinkies are yarn jigs. I couldn't find any beads for the body, so substituted some mylar from one of my daughters defunct balloons.

They look good. Shorten up the tails or the fish are gonna get a mouth full of marabou and no hook.

Hey fish4all, Those are some pretty sweet lookin' jigs! Some of those salmon/steelhead patterns look better than the ones I picked up at the store recently. Gotta give you props. That must take some time. I've tied off a few myself in the past but I ain't got nothin' on those. I think those ones have some marketability to 'em. Keep up the good work bro!
