A hitch in an Ocuma casting reel
I have an Ocuma casting reel that has a hitch in its retrieve. When in the upright position and the line is being retrieved, it gets to the right side end of the spool and sticks. If I turn the poll over so the reel is now in the down position the reel retrieves perfectly. Any ideas of what I am running into and maybe how to fix it?

RE:A hitch in an Ocuma casting reel
I would open it up and look inside..Sounds like something is loose like a small screw or something and it is catching on or in a gear. Try that...if it doesn't work then send it back to the place you bought it.Have them fix it. It won't cost much if anything. Good luck....Steve
Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.
