I thought I'd post this because it's some really great underwater footage and 0:20-0:30 made me chuckle. I imagine that's the look most fish give my gear when it's about an inch in front of them. :eye:

Pike and a bass under Michigan ice.

Man thats a cool video. I dont know what I want more now, an underwater camera or a trip to Michigan. Ill bet he would have had better luck w/o that big ol swivel coming out of the jig lol

I have a FishTV camera http://www.getfishtv.com/
It is a lot of fun. I don't expect it to put any fish on my line, but for most of you I know that you would enjoy just seeing what is down there.

Hey Quadfather! This is probably a silly question, but do you actually see fish sometimes, or just structure (which is also valuable)? Are you happy with the purchase?

GPC, yeah, this video taught me a valuable lesson about putting big dorky swivels on jigs, ha ha.

Yeah, I think it's very cool. I admit that I've only taken it out 2 or 3 times. But I was up at LK. Ozette near Neah Bay. My friend was fly fishing a floating line from the boat. I was screwin around with the camera. I dropped it down in about 10' of water. I had great images of plants, the bottom, etc. AND there were tons of squawfish all swimming about the camera. I told him they were down there... he switched up to a sinking line and beaded (weighted) fly, and started landing fish, Yeah they were squawfish but it was really cool just to see them in their enviroment. FishTV makes two cameras. I bought the cheaper one at $129.00 ( I got as Joe's was dying, for I think $70.00) the $200.00 FishTV I believe has an option to actually record, or it has line-out option to send feed to another recording device. The cheaper unit does not have this. If you go on Youtube there are a couple of cool vids from FishTv users. I need to get out again with it. It is just a bit bulky, and I find that I want to fish when I'm on the water, and don't always want to take the time to play around.
