A peek at the Hi Res Maps

Post by Mike Carey » Thu Feb 18, 2010 2:47 pm

It occured to me that if you aren't a Premium Member or haven't been to the Sportman Shows you probably don't know what the Hi Res maps look like. So here's one for you to see. We've added roads, boat launches, lake data, sharpened up the lines and colorized to make them easy to read. They are beautiful, useful, and suitable to have laminated.

Our goal will be to convert all the current maps from Dept of Wildlife to the Hi Res format, available to the Premium Members.

Looks Awesome Mike! I noticed you didn't call out "MIKES POINT" on there though! Must have been an accidental omission right? :) Keep up the great work!

No, just the ones that have been submited, or found somewhere. There are lots of lakes in the state that have no maps anywhere. Most of the lake maps on WaLakes are from the Dept of Wildlife, with a few from places like the DNR I suppose. It usually says at the bottom of the map.

Just for the Premium Members...

We have updated the American Lake contour map with one created by Lou Smith using a sonar mapping system. This updated map is the ultimate in accuracy and a big improvement over the standard old WDF map.

Thank you Lou for your cool map!

Premium Members - check out the new Hi-Res maps Aaron just posted:

Shadow - King
Morton - King
Spring - King
Clear - Pierce

These maps were created by Lou Smith using the latest underwater GPS/mapping software. Far more precise than the old WDF maps from the 50s. And only available to our Premium Members on WashingtonLakes.com.

One thing as a premium member you can see the "hot spots".
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
